Honesty Triumphs All
This will hit home for some in a way where it rattles your bones, for others maybe not so much. The reality behind this concept holds true to every walk of life on this planet. To those who think they have everything figured out, there is a reality behind the doubt that we all have daily in our minds that says otherwise. We are not perfect nor will life ever be, but if we enjoy the peaceful moments when they present themselves then we are always one step ahead of our old selves. If you live a life on the happier side of things consistently then count your blessings because the flipside of that can be crippling. The lessons that come through struggle will build unbreakable courage and strength if you allow them to. Those of you that experience these moments regularly have a decision to make that will result in the quality of human you live within. You can utilize these lessons even when your demons tell you no, or you can give into the things they tell you and have these lessons become empty messages. The importance behind the soldier that continues to fight even when they hit their darkest points is what makes the difference in everything no matter where you land yourself within this ideology.
As of late, I have lived with a lot of doubt. There has been so many things that have happened on a personal level over the last couple of years and I question whether or not I am suited to deal with it all. I constantly am trying to stay away and grow from my old ways even when my mind is clouded with evil or desperate thoughts. Sometimes I will wake up and write at 3 A.M. because I know that I need to in order to be ok. I will walk away from thoughts in my head by reliving them with the beauty of nature and fresh air. I will call home when I am traveling for work and simply look at my wife and daughter knowing that my heart is the fullest when I am doing so. It wasn’t to long ago that I lived inside the shell of an empty human and that is something that I will never allow to happen again. I started winning in life against my darkness when I challenged it with things that hold more importance to me than a moment of comfort that ended in a world of misery.
We need to realize what we can utilize that will hold more importance than us falling into old habits. We need to recognize the emotions that show us what we are not willing to lose, and let them drive our reasoning behind not falling into old ways. We need to grab the wheel when everything else seems to drive and take control to travel in the right direction. We need to speak with ourselves with full honesty so we can truly feel and know how to act when we are going through it. We need to love harder than our darkness wants us to hate.
What will you do today to find the things that move you away from a world in which you no longer want to live? How will you let those things drive your happiness hard enough to remove your misery?
