I want so badly to tell someone about what its like to be free…
Not from the what you know about me, but the things you don’t get to see.

I want to live outside of my mind at times and wish I could simply turn…
Away from the things in my past that continue to burn.

Smoke filled rooms with a light that shines straight through…
Illuminating reasons to continue trying not just for others but myself now too.

A path walked and reversed upon made me a life long friend…
A version of myself that knows exactly where my habits always seem to end.

A new born version of a worn old mind…
Has taught me to help others in ways that the world won’t find.

Leave behind a legacy…
Some how I’ll Maybe be…
Everything the opposite of what me demons say to me.
