A Hidden Purpose

I am not where you left me…I have located where I checked out…
I stood in the same place that I let my demons secure my doubt.

I was stone cold outside, while I burned from within…
Smoke lined the cracks that turned to scars on my “unbreakable” skin.

A smoke signal so present that others were surprised to see…
The person I had become compared to who they thought I would always be.

Blinded by lies and regret of it all lasting so long…
A period of time where all I felt was empty and wrong.

To then turn one day and experience the truth behind my demons lies…
Through looking inside of myself and opening up brand new skies.

The breath of fresh air outside of congested means…
The beauty behind seeing anything at all after not knowing which way gravity leans.

Triumph and Travesty gone as I no longer wave a white flag…
Throwing endless successions at my demons like a pin pulled frag.
