The Ascension
You are not doing it right…You should do this way because this is what has been proven to work…Living in your skin through their truth as if it works that way for everyone. The beauty behind life is the uniqueness of your journey differing from everyone else’s. Yet we live in a world where for most it is thought that there is one answer and only one way. Small minded thoughts that are backed by nothing but the comfort of fitting in. Here is a reality check for those of you that have never felt true fear. You will try the same thing a million different ways until you find an escape that works even if it is only for a second. The world is as beautiful as it is because of exactly that, NO ONE ANSWER FITS ALL.
I have prayed to a blade of grass as many times as I have a rock. I prayed to a god as if I ever took the time to know who that was. I sat in a hole believing that praying at all was everything that I needed to provide something to focus on outside of my misery. I prayed for everything that the sun could touch and every thing that was opposite of the depression that I sat in. It was not until I found that internalizing things worked as much as throwing up a Hail Mary of unanswered asks that lifer began to show me mercy and strength at the same time. I sit here today to speak the truth in hopes of it helping others get through moments that I felt directionless and worthless. There is no better feeling than finding the strength to overcome the lies that darkness holds.
You have to commit not heavily, but entirely, to the things that you think you want to escape the moments that you don’t. You have to believe that your heart holds more promise and reasoning than the lies that your demons tell. You have to believe that you are worth more than everything you have been told you are not. YOU HAVE TO WANT FREEDOM FROM FEAR MORE THAN SITTING INSIDE OF A KNOWN AND COMFORTABLE DISCOMFORT.
What will you do today to find yourself when you feel the most lost? What will you do to hold onto the feeling of freedom as if it is all that ever mattered?
